Korean Skincare Haul: Innisfree, Tony Moly, etc...

I went down the rabbit hole of consumerism and bought myself (yet again!) another bunch of skincare goodies. I'll do a blog post about my skincare collection in the future but trust me when I say I really don't need another moisturizer but here I am, moping at the sad state of my wallet but happy as bunny with all the stuff I got. If you want to see what I got, read on.

I love skincare. I love it. I love how amazing my skin has looked since I started on my regimen of piling copious amounts of skincare on my morning and evening skincare.  I particularly love Korean skincare. Now, I usually buy my stuff from Althea, which is an online shop. Let me tell you, the amount of damage I've done since I've done since discovering that website has been overwhelming. Flip side is I usually get my product a week or so after I made my initial purchase which a bummer especially when you need that dang serum right freaking NOW! My friend told me about this place in Cebu called Caffe Dara which she claims is an amazing store filled with Korean skincare and makeup. I might do a dedicated blog post about the place because it seriously is amazeballs. I was just there 15 minutes and already dented my budget (Inner me: Ha! what budget?!) for the month of April.

First thing I bought was this set from Innisfree, one of my favorite Korean brands. I picked this up straight on without even checking the price. I got it because of the moisturizer included in the set. I got a sample of the Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream when I traveled to Hong Kong and went to the Innisfree store there. I loved the sample and was planning to buy the full size.

A weekly essential in my regimen are face masks. They really help my skin's texture and elasticity. And I go through them pretty quickly. I was looking to try a few new ones so I bought a few varieties from different brands.

So I was pretty much done and was just browsing when the proprietor asked me if there was something I was looking for. I casually mentioned that I was looking for a new cream moisturizer, at this point it has completely slipped my mind that I had already chosen the Innisfree set. He recommnded the Tony Moly Camel Milk Cream. He said that all the Korean actresses were using it. And like a chump, I bit the bait and bought it because come on! Who doesn't want to look like their favorite Korean actress?

I wanted to buy a few more but my wallet was as empty as my soul. At checkout, the proprietor added a freebie, which was very nice of him. I've never heard of the brand before and am very excited to try it. It is a clay mask which is very useful for drawing out impurities from my skin.

Alright! That was my short haul of Korean skincare goodies. I'll keep you updated on my thoughts regarding what I bought in a future blog post. Until then, talk to you later!

Hello stranger! Welcome to my Blog!

Hi! If you managed to stumble into my blog, welcome! You're probably wondering to yourself "What kind of idiot names her blog 'Thingamabobs', I'm glad you asked, random stranger. The short answer is I love The Little Mermaid and you know that scene where she sings "Part of Your World" and she goes "you want thingamabobs? I've got 20". I know you're singing that song out loud, don't deny it. let your inner mermaid free.

I chose Thingamabobs because it's a metaphor of sort for things to come for this blog. There is no clear definition of what this blog will be. Beauty, skincare, travel, rants about politics... who knows? The world is my oyster. If you want to join me on this journey, then strap in, it's gonna be a crazy ride.
